How do you turn off radar detection on Cruise Control?

i like the radar CC but find it can be a bit abrupt in some traffic situations. I set it to the minimum following distance. Nice feature

Man I'm having a weird issue with this damn cruise. If I press cruise while driving, it just says "check cruise system" , but if I press it just after I start the car, it seems to work.

here's the kicker....it used to be the opposite. WTF

There is a fault. You will find if you start the car and turn on the cruise while stopped the cruise light will come up as normal. Then if you drive away you will get to approx 30kmh and the fault "check cruise control" will come up. The laser is not a good system,radar is much better and I wish my car had it instead of laser.
