what are the differences between 2004 and pre 2004 ultra. a few question of real concern to me.
1. does 2001-2003 have bluethooth phone capabilites?
2. is the navigation version upgradeble to new version? if yes is it just a new disk?
3. i had the 5-speed auto in my GS and loved it. is the 6 speed necessary
4. what is all the hype about smart-key.if its just push start i can do without.
5. anything else i need to know please feel free to let me know before i purchase.

btw i love either style lights so its not a factor

 

I have the 2001 LS, so I'll chime in regarding the pre '04
1. No Bluetooth. I use a motorola headset for my phone
2. Navigation is upgradeable and easy to do (I just upgraded last month)
3. I love my 5 speed - it's smooth as silk - but I understand the 6ers are even better.
4. I've been driving for 30 years and have always put the key in the ignition, turned it and moved on from there. Smart-key would be a nicety, but not necessity IMO.
5. Both are very nice - if you've had a GS - you know.

Good luck with your choice. BTW - you could always consider the 460 too!
