Just traded my 1998 ls 400 for a 2004 ls 430 with nav/mark lev and 35k miles. After 3 days, I could not be happier. I am amazed how much of an upgrade the 2004 is. I am still trying to learn the nav system. A little bummed that my lg 8300 phone does not download the address book. Oh well, I guess I will need to enter the info manually. I just ordered a k&n air filter to install. Now it is on to reading more and posting less.

just make sure the K&N filter is tight all around the seal,, bought on for my Ford F350 Diesel and later found that half the seal was not seating proper allowing all kinds of junk through,,

Welcome to CL! I sold my 98 LS400 yesterday (after picking up a 2005 LS430 Ultra a month ago).
Both great cars, the 2005 has so many cool technological advancements over the prior model
