Default Coming Aboard!

Hello All:
I'm a relatively new GS400 owner (Jan-02) and I've been a lurker for too long. I have learned a tremendous amount from all of you who participate on this site--THANK YOU!

Thought I might as well become legit.

I will be researching exhaust as a possible first mod coupled with perhaps a high flow panel filter.

Thanks Again,

TQM_V8

Thanks for the replies. This forum was helpful to me both before I bought the car (used) and after I brought it home. An example....I was freaking out when my car started stumbling at idle....only to find that this is "normal" at times. No problem since, but peace of mind is priceless.

My car has never stumbled at idle. I wonder if this is a problem with pre-2000 GS models or if, as has been pointed out, it's just the throttle position sensor crapping out?

TQM - what did you trade in for the GS?

bitkahuna,
Before the GS, I had a....[this is embarassing]...a......corolla. Talk about a STEP UP!
My story in short... My first car was a '78 280Z--great car. Second car was a mustang GT convertible--good torque. I wanted another V8. When I found out the Japanese were making a V8 (I know, I've been under a rock here), I was psyched. Think about it: japanese reliability with the fun of a V8, awesome....The GS blows both of my previous cars away in all categories. An amazing car.
