I'm a neebie Lexus owner with my first 2004 LS430. I went through the owner's manual instructions on how to obtain the XM radio ID number needed for XM activation, but the radio will not give me a number. When I hit the "SAT/AM" button, it merely goes to an AM station.

Are these cars only XM ready, meaning that I need to have satellite hardware installed by the dealer? If so, do I have the option at this point of having Sirius installed, or must I stick with XM?

These cars come xm ready you can buy one at best buy circuit city and have the controller attached somewhere around the dash or go through the outfit that installs them for lexus and control it from the factory sound unit
