If your marriage is based on that amount of trust, it wont last much longer.

Good. I have gotten a good 61 years out of mine by telling her the truth. I got lucky of the driving ting as the Dr told her before I had to.

haha it's not a matter of trust, it's that 100k means something to me, but doesn't mean anhything to my wife. Others here could even say 100k is meaningless as well, you got the car with 81k, you didn't drive it 100k....

So many things imho are different between males and females, but I honestly feel I have more empathy. She gets a new bag and notices a tiny scratch on it, but can't exchange it as it was the only one at that price. I get it, I would feel the same if I got a new baseball glove and it had a scratch on it, even though it's going to be used anyway.

She used the car to go to a xmas party last night. I go to the gym this am, and the lights are once again in the OFF position. No matter how many times I request it be left in auto, it will never happen, so I let it go (her car is auto every time it restarts, and never touched, so why switch mine?).

I totally trust my wife, so it's not that. For all I know maybe the car turns 100k without me this week, only 160 to go!

Now my BMW, that's another story, in 11 years, she has driven it 3X hahahahahahahaha

She's too hard on the cars, or, some would argue she drives them the way they're meant to be driven...I think more of the former. One thing she does NOT do, is she doesn't ride the clutch. Doesn't keep it depressed at a light. I guess my father in-law trained her right.

Well, the LS430 did it today...we used her all weekend long...

The car's toast. Only a matter of time before something major breaks and repair bills start to drain your wallet Time to take out a loan on your house to buy an LC500.

It's a little late, but took our 2001 to see the eclipse over the summer. Took this pic somewhere in Missouri.

300K+ is no big deal out of these cars....Just keep in & change the oil in them. Minimal stuff every-now and then. Turned 350K last year. Currently 362K. How many miles do YOU have on your LS430? (The Mother thread)-ls430-350k.jpg

Default 2004 Lexus LS430

I have 109,000 on a LS430. Bought it about 6 years ago with 67,000 miles. Had a few issues with it (Audio went out and had to replace the amplifier in the trunk) cost me $425 to have it rectified; driver side viewer broke, cost around $900 for the casing and an additional $300 for the mirror; Screen display would not light up, another $1200.00 to replace the screen. No mechanical repairs and ride is still very quiet. I love this car, other than the electronics repairs I'm still happy with this auto.

Winner winner chicken dinner...congrats.....I could be wrong but I think 362k might be the highest thus far.....(p.s. again I loved it when someone came forward on the Maxima forum, 479k, and he qualified it by saying it sure runs like it has 479k too, then he attached a pic of his mechanical ODO indicating it was a 95-97 car since 98+ has a LCD odo)
