Here's a couple of pix for ya...it's lowered with LSportline springs. New rims are on the way (although I like the stocks lol):

ST430, do you have any photos to post? That is one great car you have there and I would go with the Euro Tuned version too.

We would love to see the photos! There is something so refined about the LS430 that it's classy, yet very powerful. You can not deny the Lexus V8.

Thanks again!

Wassup'er? Not sure that I know you...but I give mad props to all Maxes hehe! It's still got a special place in my heart as one of the finest best valued cars I've ever owned!

Not tripping over VQ - actually trying to dangle the hook to him and see if he'll take the bait to find out why my initials are ST!!

ST, that pic didn't work. I was anxious to see it. And how many times do I have to say it, I am not dissing the LS, it is a great world class automobile, no doubt. It more than holds its own. But I have to agree with Car and Driver when they said it looks "dorky." I dunno maybe if I see one souped up with rims etc. I will feel differently.

So far my history in cars is
93 Ford Probe GT
96 Maxima SE
99 Acura TL
01 Lexus GS430
My SUV craving is taken care of already with my wife's 99 4Runner ltd.

Always have something to look forward or a goal in mind. Maximas are a great start for a college student!
Lexguy, the Bose sterio is superb, I agree with you. But I'm sure the ML is much much better in your LS430. Anyways speaking of moving up with cars I hope to aquire a 330ci sport in the next few years.

VQ - for a person aspiring to become a cretin, err lawyer....your memory and quoting abilities are sure lacking....are you sure you don't want to lower those expectations down to something to do more with a mop and sponge?! Jk! Back to the point...where the heck did C&D say it was quote "dorky"....please ACTUALLY READ the reviews and tell me:

http://www.caranddriver.com/xp/Caran...20430&class=44

http://www.caranddriver.com/xp/Caran...20430&class=44

"this one looks a lot like the last one. Which is to say, the LS430's styling is simple and unadorned but imposing and clearly identifiable. The car's lines and proportions neither hide nor emphasize its size but combine to give it a gravitas appropriate for a car of its class. It may not make heads swivel, but it will draw appreciative nods."

Personally, I could really care what you think of the vehicle and its looks. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I just find it funny you would go to the extent of dissing it based on its looks, when a Maxima owner as yourself should know theres so much more to a car than that..hehe!

Now as for the my ride: point your browsers to http://www.geocities.com/stranx44/pix/newlex2.jpg . Also below is a souped up Celsior (Japanese LS430):

or more pix can be seen at http://www.wald-japan.co.jp/wald/cat...ive/ucf30.html .

From the Car & Driver 2001 New Car Buyer's Guide:

"The more obvious repackaging change, though, is an additional two inches of height. It provides excellent headroom and high-chair like seating, but it also makes the LS430 look a bit, well, dorky. The LS430 is styled like a big Avalon. It's a subjective matter, but the car lacks the presence of other cars in this class."

BTW, I liked that souped up one, but the link you gave me to yours didn't work.

one of my friend drives 93 integra and he is dying to get a newer maxima. he says he likes it everyways but i don't! well. however; comparing lexus and maxima is kindda funny. simply, it's a different car! also, i think infinity is getting way better than before. Q45 looks nice and it's 10k below ls430. and i or we know someone will get inifinity!

i am 22 and i paid a full amount of money for my ls400. i am not a rich guy or have a rich father. i just go 2 school and work like 50 hrs.

ppl look at me a little weirdo b/c i am driving ls400 which is targetted for 50+ ages. i am proud of my self that i didn't ask anything for my parents. also, i am driving 85 crx for daily. it's just a little fun car! hmmmmmmm........ 85 crx VS. ls400

nowadays; i wanted to get one more car, it's a new mazda protege 5, which is a wagon! i think it's so well designed and great car.

finally, it's all depends on ppl's tastes.

ps> i don't think lexus is a just beautiful car. but it's very nice and wonderful car.

my car histories....

in 95 ford escort wagon (mom's)
96 300ZX
97 prelude
2001 crx
2001 ls400

blitz - no one is comparing the Max to the LS...it's not funny, it's plain stupid! As for the new Q...it's a nice car, but the front end bullfrog looks are hideous and it is NOT even $10k off a LS...here in the Bay Area, the ratio of new LS to new Q's are something like 100 to 1...very rare sight to see the new Q, so much that I dont even recognize it when i see (rarity for me).

i also give you mad props for buying your LS. I'm in the same boat, just a mid 20's peep who wanted something different than the usual GS/IS combo but wanted to be relegated in luxury and comfort for myself and my buds (as well as constituents). From what I know, I'm the youngest person to purchase the LS430 in the Bay Area (well according to Putnam/Stevens Creek/Magnussen ppl. It does feel weird seeing ppl 2 to 3x as old as me driving the same vehicle, but hey....i like to be unique every once in a while. It won't look as bad though, when i get my rims and all on it!

hey i own an ls430 top of the line. There is this sport button i press and it does make a difference mostly while ur hitting corners.Ive gotten nothing but compliments on my car and i love. Its so qiuet sometimes i forget that the engine is on.VERY powerful for its size and weight. Also when driven hard teh car is pretty agile in my opinion.only thing i changed on my car were the rims and tires.I chose the lsportline i thnk there model 2 chrome 18's.and i dont know why the tires are so damn expensive $345 a peice!!!.But the ls430 is just something else.Worth every penny and leaves u speechless with quality and power.

Future i plan to try something different so i think ill go with an s500.i just hope its as good as the ls430.

Even with this much luxury and features, you will still want a sportier car on the side believe me.

I love my GS430, and it sporty, but doesn't feel like one. I'm feeling like a smaller sportier car like the BMW 330i with the Sports Package on the side if possible or some other 2 door coupe.

Always nice to have things on the side!
