have heard it really protects the paint,, went to the local dealer and the two cars they had done, the end/edge of the mask stopped in the middle of the hood and very visable,,
had considered for the Lexus but did not care for the visable lines on all the edges of the masking,, figured it would really stand out on the white pearl,,

I used xPel on my 2003 LS430 and loved it so much that I am getting it installed on my 04' LS430 next week. It's well worth the money.
And yes, it does stand out from certain angles on the white paint, however, I think rock chips , bug marks, and scrapes stand out much more...LOL.
Just keep it really clean and make sure you use a toothpick or some other apparatus to remove wax that builds up on the line across the hood. This will keep the line from being so apparent.
