Default Data System Air Controller

This would pertain to anyone who has the LS equipped with the Ultra package that includes air suspension. Has anyone ever heard of this company? The only information I could find is a Japanese website loosely translated. I heard it will lower the height of the car and still retain the ability to raise it a couple of inches. L-Tuned sells it on their website too. I'm curious because the TEIN suspension excludes the Ultra Package and I would like to lower my car, not to mention the ability to raise the height when I need to, all at the touch of a button and without the expense of an Airrunner system. Anyone work on their LS Ultra suspensions? If you have one and can attach a picture of your car or share your experience I would greatly appreciate it. TIA

A number of people have this on their LS430. I have it on my 01 UL LS and its the best bang per buck mod there is (compared to 1500+ coilovers). It can slam or lift the car to whatever height you want.

Someone is selling theirs in the classifieds right now in fact. You dont want to wait for it to ship from japan, so go pick it up!

Make sure you get the RIGHT YEAR harness or it will NOT plug in... Like JuniorEXE says, there is one for sale on the LS430 Classified Add section for 01-03 LS430 Ultra... If you need one for the 04+ model, you will need to get a DIFFERENT harness but same controller.

My thanks to juniorEXE for the pictures and to FLIPPU for the additional information! juniorEXE, how do you like the ride? Is it close to the factory but only lower? Are you able to raise it to the factory ride height, both normal and high as well as lower it? I assume the pictures are on the lowest setting. Thanks again.

There is a way to LOWER the car without the controller and is fairly easy and FREE if you want to do it yourself..

The Air suspension in controlled by a sensor on each wheel... The rear wheels are Sliders and the front wheels are Threaded rods...

If you are careful and have some mechanical skills, you can adjust the sliders in the back wheels to it's lowest position AND Adjust the threaded rods on the Front Wheels (shorter) and make sure that the fronst and back wheels are EVEN....then you are GOOD TO GO....

The car is now SEMI-PERMANENT lowered until you decide to bring the sensors back up...

Just a thought.

BTW, at the LOWEST Setting the car does not ride good at all..it is very bouncy and jarring...halfway low (1-2 finger gaps all around) rides MUCH better and looks good as well.

The ride quality deteriorates, but is hardly noticeable until you get to the lowest settings. The ride height button in the car basically is useless once you get this. The pics are at the lowest setting and yes you can lift the car beyond factory specs. These are just the basic operations however. If you can decipher the manual, you can adjust dampening and even have it adjust your ride height on the fly at certain highway speeds!

I am not mechanically inclined, but I think it's called the A-ARM... you can see it when you turn the wheel all the way to the right/left... it's a small rod about 4-5 inches long with a nut on it...the rod can be cut a re-threaded and can also be removed without lifting the car, BUT it very easy to do WITH the car on a lift.

The rears are the easiest as it is only a nut to loosen up and the sliders can then be moved..it is on the rear axle i think.. You can see it just by looking under the rear section.

Thanks a lot mike, sounds clear to me. I've done this before on my Lincoln Mark VIII which had air suspension on all corners... so this should be a breeze.

Thanks for the replies and advice. Hey Mike good looking out! Do you have the Data System or are you talking about a ride you've been in? If not, did you do this semi-permanent lowering of the car? I assume doing this manually will still allow the factory high setting. Grand, if you do this can you share your experience and post some pictures please? Once again all your replies are greatly appreciated. I'll run this by my mechanic and do the same if it gets done.

I am interested in purchasing the controller, but I am worried about how the bags will last while lowered below factory specs. We all know that replacement air ride strut assemblies are terribly expensive. What kind of abuse are put on the bags while being so low?

Anyone else with experience using this system? Anyone else have pictures of their cars lowered on stock air? Thanks.
