Does this fix the staggering stairstep problem or just the level of the beams? Is the spread panel like Grand's or is it completely level? When you have a chance could you snap a couple of pictures and post them up? TIA

 

They look level to me but I've been told I lean too far to the right at times so maybe that's why - LOL. Yep, they appear to be level from what I can see parking about 15' in front of my garage door. Plus after taking it around the block just now, they are a definite improvement. Beam almost fades out at distance so I don't really see a clear cut-off ahead of me. Great view of the road ahead without being up in the air.

Will try and get camera working and then do a coupe pictures.

 

I tried for a few hours, didn't see a difference.
I think my car sucks.

 

thanks grand but i see my problem, the lights are staggered and must be lower on the left. i also agree that neither the phillips or flat head in any length or size does not fit the adjustment screw easily, it's a gear type that needs to be turned and i had a tough time on mine. i'm sure the dealer has on that works, for like 50 bucks i'm sure!

 

I had a similar problem, had my wife tell the dealer the lights were aimed to low (by probably 1-2 degrees) when we first got the 2006 LS 430. When I drove the car at night the next time, they were aimed way to high. I took the car back to the dealer and the Service Manager was ready to fire the mechanic who did the adjustment and I wathced him do the adjustment. It is pretty easy as stated above, but the factory service manual discussion about interaction of vertical and horizontal is mainly bs. To avoid any issue with the ALS, do the adjustment with the engine running. I find a convienient wall in a parking structure to be ideal, you can judge how the lights are set as you drive toward the wall. Take out the rubber plugs (need the correct 2 of the 4) and you can easily see the fitting that are turned with a Phillips screwdriver by flashlight. My lights are now right where I want them, the light straight ahead is aimed very slightly down. The light to the right (notice the shift in cutoff on the wall) are nearly level for good visibility of signs, etc. Just make shure you don't get them aimed to the left, then the oncoming traffic will have something to complain about due to the higher cutoff.
