Default L-Sportline springs??

A friend at work gave me a set of L-sportline spring that he had on his girl friends 2003 LS for about two years . Are these good springs for the LS. And I asking for trouble using used springs. I had the same springs with GS but they are totally different cars. I am also looking to do a 19" fat set up in the future, do you think this combo will work out?. I would like to add more road feel and a little less cush...but don't want to kill the lexus quality ride. I also don't want a slammed look either.Anyfeed back would be great. Pictures would be even better

Whatever you do, make sure you seriously trim your stock shock bumper stops.

Why is that? Even with just springs?

Because if you don’t, your shocks will bottom out, your ride would suffer, and your backseat will be useless. IF some was to sit in the back, the shocks would bottom out, and lower the car so much... you wouldn’t want to drive anywhere (no shock room to travel, and do its job). So it would be 2 people in max (in the front). I am talking from experience. I had my L-sport line suspension taken out recently (both shocks, and springs). The springs are great, just the bottom stops ruined things for me (and I didn’t want to pay for installation again to get it fixed), and that’s WITH the stiffer Bilstein shocks, and I was going to be doing a lot of traveling with people in teh car. If you keep your stock shocks, you would be even more prone to this problem. So just need to shave them a bit, and that would solve your problems.

And if the UCF30 springs are like the UCF 20 springs, you would also have to insert some kind of rubber hose (buy from ACE hardware store) and insert into the coils, so the last two don’t rub, and cause unwanted rattles.

I know it's been a few weeks for this thread but I have to say that I totally agree with what Grand_LS said. This is exactly what happened when I replaced the stock springs with Eibach lowering spring on my '95 Mercedes E320 Coupe. (I sold it two years ago) With the springs replaced (stock shocks), the car was fine when I drove it with no passenger, with 1 passenger, a bit rough. Then I tried 3 passengers+me driving, it was terrible. Exactly what Grand_LS said.. no shock room to travel... bad ride quality. The stock shocks was designed for stock spring's height. It was cured with Koni adjustable shocks for lowering springs.. ride quality was much better..
