Default Back with another

Hi guys. Just picked up a 04 fully loaded LS430. Supposedly an ex-Toyota VP's personal car, this is fully loaded with ultimate pkg and every option under the sun and only with about 20k miles. I sold my GS back in Feb and went to an Infiniti FX SUV. I saw this Lex at the dealer today, fully loaded and in my color, white, decided it was too good to pass up so I traded my FX in for it. I probably wont mod it like I did my pass GS300 and 400. Im thinking just some 20s and exhaust and just drive it. Im not sure if its air suspension or not, probably is, since its fully loaded. Ive heard about a R-Spec controller that can lower height without sacrificing ride. Wondering if anyone can tell me where I can get one and how much it costs?

Thanks,

Phil

Welcome back to the family.

Carson Toyota aka l-tunedparts.com has it for $720. It should be a little cheaper with your CL discount.

If it is the Ultra Luxury package you have the air suspension. You should have a switch on the console that says SPORT and NORMAL with an icon of a shock absorber. Nice choice.

Here is my use of these features. The sport mode on the suspension firms up the overall suspension for less roll in the corners, etc. It still rides smooth with just a bit more firmness coming thru. I use it when I know I have some fun exit ramps coming up. It switches almost instantaneously.

The power/normal/snow button controls the trans. I always leave mine in power - it lets it rev a bit higher before shifting and seems to be less sluggish on the kickdowns when you want to change lanes, etc. My dealer says it costs you about a 10% drop in fuel economy. Like you can measure that! Snow mode starts in 2nd gear with a reduction in torque so you spin the wheels less. Good for those that pay no attention to their driving when the white stuff flies.

Have fun!

Default suspension

Im looking at the dealer info sheet from when the car was new. I guess I was mistaken. It says Sport Package1 w/ euro tuned suspension and Modern Luxury Package with Mark Levinson and Navi. So Im assuming its springs and shocks and not air suspension?
