Default Air Filter

What's involved in changing the air filter. Can I easily do this myself? Not the A/C filter...which I already figured out, but the real air filter.

It was quite simple as I just did a week ago. You need a flathead screw driver to unscrew the hose coming into the air filter cover, then unclip the clips around the cover (might need to have a small hand to reach in the narrow space) and pull the cover up. Replace the filter, put the cover back on, clip the clips back then connect the hose and tighten it.

As they say at the STAPLES store, "THAT WAS EASY". Thanks for that info! I do admit that I cheated....the filter was not very dirty at all (29000 miles) so I banged it out, shop-vacuumed it and put it back in. I'll change it at 40,000 miles or so. Did the same thing with the A/C filter.

It's very easy to do, a few bolts and that is about it. If you need the air filter...check out Iron toad lexus, great price (better than Pepboys no name ones, and cheaper)
