has anyone swopped out their 01-03 reflector hids to the newer 04 projector hids. is this plug and play or do you need some kind of modification?

also, has anyone updated their 01+ tail lights to the newer style leds?

 

Definitely not plug and play since they're completely different headlight housings. It might be possible to retrofit a projector in there, but it's going to take a lot of work.

oh yeah, it's going to be super difficult for sure. the two setups are completely different, one reflective and one projectors, too different

 

thanks for your response brian and henry. i thought the headlight housing were the same shape but you are telling me otherwise. i didn't think the 04 front end changed that much where they would design a new headlight shape.

i know you can add a projectors on the current 01-03 reflector but was hoping the 04 as a direct swop.. darn..

thanks for the info on the tail lights but it doesn't line up..i hear good news on the ebay outer lenses but someone said they will turn pink when it ages..

i'm looking into this info because my father in-law just bought a 02 ls430.

actually the 04+ front end (and back end) changed a lot. new bumper, fenders, hood, grille, headlights, foglights

and rear trunk and taillights are different as well
