Default Need To Lower My Car...

I purchased my 06 LS430 Custom Lux pkg two weeks ago. I loved the confortable ride of stock LS but hated the stock wheels so I went and got the wheels upgraded. Now the car's sitting on chrome Asanti 128 staggered 20x8.5(f) with 245/35 and 20x10(r) with 275/30 Bridgestone tires. New wheels & tires fit great and the car looks awesome but I still need to get rid of the annoying gaps in between tires and the fenders.
My main concern is with the ride. I'm sure it's going to be pretty tight any time you drop your cars specially with low profile tires. My past four cars, 03SC430, 00BoxsterS, 97SC400 & 95J30, all had been lowered but this is first ultra lux comfortable ride in a long time. My car is still very comfortable with new wheels although it seems like I can feel the bumps little more than before. Anyone here with coilovers with aftermarket tires? I'd appreciate your feedback on your own experience and let me know how different it is after the change.

I'm using TEIN CS and it is great. It has 16 settings and you could adjust the height easily. Adjust the firmness of the front is easy but you would have to remove the backseat for the rear.

I was very skeptical at first but it works out great. The car looks 100 times bettter!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I also have Tanabee springs but haven't used it yet. It lowers the car only around 1 inch and it is only around 5% firmer than stock.

I'm thinking about Tein too with about 1 to 1.3 inches lowered. How much did you lower your car and how's the ride firmness compare to stock? Do you have stock wheels?
Thanks,

Initially I thought I would lower only about 1 inch and ended lowering about 1.7-2.0 inches.

Initially it was set to 0 on both front and rear. I then set the front to 4. With 19 inch wheels and ~1.7-2.0 inch lowered, I say it's about 7.5-8/10 compared to stock. With 20 inch, I'm sure it will be a little firmer.

Here's a few pics:

Here's a picture of my 03SC430. It will be returned to the dealer in January.
That's my new LS in the garage before the wheel mods. I'll wash it up, take some photos and post them later.

One more thing before I go, how can I post more than one picuture? I've decreased my file size down to 40kb but I can only post one picture. How did you attach four pictures at the same time?

same here. I have two boys, 12 & 3. It was always sitting in my garage on weekends. I barely put 25k in three years. I finally decided to get a comfortable sedan after I got tired of driving around in my wife's minivan. Luxury comfort factor was big in choosing LS430, that's why I'm still researching suspension mods.

You might want to try the Data Systems air controller........i belive ProLex Mike has it on his LS430........almost plug and play i think- definitely cheaper than coilovers...

You keep recommending this air controller in various threads where people are looking to lower non-air-suspension cars. The air controller will not work on anything other than the air suspension (UL) models.
