I am underwhelmed by the mid-range and bass response in the '06 LS I just bought. The Logic 7 was much better in my 7 series. Does anyone have any suggestions in improving the ML sound system?

It's all good. I just saw the original post and the 7 series portion of his post contained a link that was unusual to me.

I guess since I just traded my 7 series for the LS430, the last thing I needed was another advertisement to buy another Beemer

 

Upgrade the speakers as ML www.marklevinson.com is known for making some of the best amps and preamps in the world. I don't think they have anything to do with actual speakers

 

Make sure you play with the bass/mid/treble settings.

 

I agree, While both sound systems are made by the same parent company, I think the LS needs a bit more bass kick. All it needs a nice 12 inch sub with a seperate amp in the trunk, or you can custom fit one in the rear deck enclosed in a custom made box (best, and cleanest option).
