Default New cat-back exhaust for LS430

I built an exhaust for my 2003 LS430 using 2.25" 304 stainless tubing, Magnaflow 14366 polished stainless mufflers, a couple of 2.25-3.5" transitions, and a 3.5" 304 stainless U-bend that I made into polished 45-degree turn-down tips. I left the rear resonators in place (these are the bullet-shaped mufflers located ~under the rear passenger floorboard), and went from there back. The end result is very nice. You can hear it when you're on the throttle, but it's still near silent (certainly not obtrusive IMO, but you CAN hear it a little) under steady-state cruise. It looks very nice in person, IMO. I'll try to attach a couple of photos, but I need to make some better ones.

Another shot where you can kinda see the angle of the tips...

I'll try to make some this weekend and post 'em up on Monday. The piping is routed the same and the mufflers are positioned the same as the factory setup. Mufflers are slightly narrower and thinner, but about the same length.

I'm waiting on a set of Tein CS coilovers so I can lower the car a little bit. These are about the largest diameter tires that can be run on the LS without some significant fender lip work. I'm planning to roll the fenders slightly (or grind them a little bit) when I install the Teins.

l6turbo, I like the exhaust mod on your LS. Very subtle yet noticeably different (to the CL enthusiast) Nice wheels too as well; coilovers should make all the difference in the world.

In the first pic, I like how you blurred out part of your license plate so that only the 'V' and '8' are revealed (i.e. V8 engine in the LS)

BTW are you located anywhere near the Orlando vicinity? We are holding a fairly large meet on Nov. 5th in Orlando, and there are going to be CL members driving modded/stock SC's, GS's, LS's, IS's, etc. You can click here for more info

Yeah, I'm optimistic that the Teins will improve the car even more if I can get the corner weights and alignment just perfect after the install. I love the feel of the car when stock -- outstandingly smooth, quiet, and comfortable ride -- but I am hoping to move the car just a little bit further toward the performance end of the spectrum without going so far that it no longer feels like an LS.

On the license plate thing, I just used the 'eraser' feature in Photoshop to blur out the other 4 characters. My plate just happened to have the V and 8 in those positions (it's not a personalized tag).

I live just north of Jacksonville. I saw the FL Lexus/Supra meet posted. It sounds like fun and I was hoping to make it down for that. I have a single turbo Supra too, but I would hate to get caught out in a rainstorm with the near-slick 295-mm drag radials, so I probably would take the LS instead if I go. Not certain if I'll get to go or not, because I have to attend SEMA tradeshow that week so I might end up hanging with the family for the weekend when I return....
