Default DVD Nav...

I have an '02 Ls430 with the nav system.... I also have a DVD+-R burner and some blank DVD's. Don't recall if it is - or + R blanks. Anyway what i want to know is this...
1) If i take the Nav DVD out and then put it back will it still work????
2) If i take the Nav DVD out and make a copy of it for backup and then put the backup in... that is if the dvd burner copy its correctly with no issue, will it work???

Please not this is my very own car and system so before people start calling the copyright crap, please be advise that this is my own car...

Is there a need to make a backup? Are you afraid the original DVD will break down, wear out?

that would be unnecessary, especially when you don't really need to take it out at all

You cannot make a copy with a consumer (or even most PRO) DVD-burners.
