Default Picking up new car

Hi all,

I'm picking up my new Modern Lux black on black tomorrow morning. Is there anything I should pay special attention to before taking delivery? Is there a common flaw or area of concern that I should pay special attention to?

If you don't want/need a front license plate, make sure they do not drill the front bumper. And make sure they set the owner preferneces the way you want them - like the auto door locks, steering wheel retracting, etc. Have fun!

just ask for a final test drive of the car before you take delivery. look at all door panels to make sure they liine up, check interior leather and trims for imperfections. check the paint for potential orange peel, etc...

With our Modern Lux, the delivery was effortless, the inspection brief. We focused on learning all the new features over the next couple months, and are still learning. Car works great, just treat with care!

One minor, minor thing I noticed was that on some new LS' including ours, the shrink wrap isn't always perfectly removed by the dealer...there are a few spots where the shrink wrap was still there, but it's no biggie (left it there).

Some have mentioned a NAVI software glitch on some models, but we had no such issue.

Well,

I went and got it this morning. What a dream, I have never ridden in a car that rides that smoothly and quietly. Now I just got to get the gadgets figured out! It does have the 18" wheels (with dunlops), which I really didn't want, but they seem quiet enough and don't seem to be out of balance at all. Experience at the dealer (Hedrick Lexus of Charlotte) was top notch.

Thanks for all the advice!
