Default navigation problems with new upgrade

I have contacted by dealer about the new navigation system for the LS concerning the problem with not re routing when you are close to your destination and you make a wrong turn, you"re on your own.

The dealer checked three new LS and there all have the same problem, If you are having this problem or any known defect with the navigation software contact your dealer & 1800 25lexus,this will help change the software, and also provide you with a free upgrade like they did for th lx470 problems when the have one

What software version is your NAV system is using? My new LS430 does give me a new route starting from where I am if I make a wrong turn. My DVD version is 04.2

I "upgraded" my version of the Navigation disc a few months ago. I find that it does ultimately does the re-route but it takes much longer to do it than the previous version. I still find many inaccuracies with the mapping. In addition, I also find that there are far fewer POI's on this version.

Count me in. I'll call Lexus Customer Service and tell my dealer as well.

umm..... i start to wonder if this is just a ls430 thing?

i say that coz' i just remembered one incident on my sc430, where the directions were right but i made a turn one street too early (my mistake). as soon as i made the turn i already saw the arrow pointing the wrong direction, and before i hit the halfway of that block the nav already re-routed and guided me to make u turn. that's residential blocks, and the two streets were probably about 2 houses apart.

i have a 05 sc430 so the system should be the same as that on the 04+ ls430
