Default How do you drive your LS ?

Hi, I'm in my late 20's and I catch myself driving my LS430 prettty aggressively. Sometimes I feel guilty being easily persuaded to race/chase down weaker powered cars going past me or cutting me off. Or I'll start playing with people who tailgate the hell out of me. Sometimes it think people are sometimes envious, and will play games with me on the road. The site of a professionally detailed jet black Lexus, cleaned/polished daily seems to make people act up. Then again I think it is just all in my head.

I hope to "grow up" soon. I think the Ls is a fairly expensive and refined vehicle and should not be drive like kid driving a honda civic with dual 4" exhaust tips.

How do you guys drive? I bet GS and IS owners race all day...

I drive in the driver's seat, hands on the steering wheel and feet operating the brake and accelerator. Maybe we should now ask ;How many times do you change your socks??? It is obvious that all of us on this forum have way tooooo much time on our hands. Questions like : Where do you wash your Lexus?, Smoking in your Lexus?, How often do you wash your Lexus? ; What watch do you wear?

Come on get a life; drink large quantities of booze, chase the opposite sex, kick the dog anything except posting inane questions on a Forum

Default Ha!

My 28yo brother tells me that I'm crazy for driving my Lexus hard. I tell him about the street light burnouts and doughnuts in the parking lot fun. He laughs. I kinda laugh also. Why put 290 HP in a sedan and then just poke around town. Have FUN, responsible fun!

Cheers.

Real wheel drive + V8 = made for burnouts!

I find that when I drive it though I feel like a highschool kid if I do any kind of burnouts.

Exclamation The power can be VERY addictive.....

.....especially when the motor is so unbelievably silent!! ...it gives the impression of EFFORTLESS power, as opposed to some people (read stup*d IMO) who like noise with their power (call it a throaty growl or whatever ) ......the virtual absence of noise under full throttle, accompanied by neck-snapping acceleration gives that unbelievably fabulous feeling of an abstract force just whipping you foward!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm 31, but drive my LS 400 in a fairly sedate fashion a large part of the time (like to look at other clueless drivers who might think it's just another big lumbering sedan, but simply have no idea what lies underneath that hood)..... However, sometimes I just gotta feel the RUSH of those 290 horses!!! and blow to pieces an unsuspecting lesser automobile from a stoplight....the "what-the-hell-just-happened" look on their faces is PRICELESS!!!! .....the other day when I was entering an on-ramp to the 110 freeway, a guy in a Ford F-150 (of all vehicles ) was trying to compete with me. Normally, I would've just ignored the guy, thinking to myself "what a clueless, stupid, moron"....but I just felt compelled to let him know, so I floored it, reaching nearly 90mph in no time, and leaving the guy behind in another time zone .....would've loved to see the stunned look on his face

I drive moderately, except when some "punk" with an accord or Civic thinks they are too cool, then I stomp them into place!
