- Model years 2001 - 2003, the optional factory tire size is 225 55 17. (standard size is 225 60 16).

- Model years 2004 +, the standard size is now 225 55 17. Optional size is 245 45 18.

Do you know why they changed the size? If I buy an 04 LS and it has the 17's, can I go and install 16's without issues? I want the smoothest ride possible and the 16's with the 60 sidewall rating would be better.
