2004 LS430 accelerator problem
I know this sounds strange but I have a problem with the angle and tension of the accelerator on my brand new LS430.This is my 3rd ls yet the petal on this one is straight up and down and I am used to driving with my heel on the floor and pivoting my foot back and forth from the brake to the accelerator. When I drive my shoe digs into my foot with the tension/angle of the accelerator and gets real tired because of my unusual driving habits. Can anyone comment/help me or suggest something. The dealer offered to have one of his mechanics try and modify the accelerator but I am hesitant to let him fool with my car,. have also put a call in to the Lexus 800 help line about my prpblem but have not received an answer. Thanks!
Sorry to hear your problems with the new ride. And as for 1-800 lexus, that is a scam of a 1-800 number. They never help people, at least not on a consistent basis. I hope things turn out better for you and your problem is solved. The great thing is your warranty will cover it. Just stay on them about it.
I never noticed anything different or unusual about the gas pedal on my 2004 LS. Have you compared your car to one on the showroom, or maybe one of the demos? If your pedal is really straight up that doesn't sound right at all.
