Thanks. I'm taking my car in for service today and I'll ask them about these.

My air conditioning did not blow cold air for several minutes after starting my car yesterday. It then started working fine and has been working since. First time since I got the car.

Ever find out what caused it? My car is at the dealer today, and they are checking it out.

Your A/C issue could possibly be related to ?:

4. A/C COMPRESSOR “KNOCKING” SOUND – AC003-04
Number: AC003-04
Bulletin Date: 6/9/04
PRODUCTION CHANGE EFFECTIVE VIN: JTHBN36F140162148
Summary: On some 2004 model year LS 430 vehicles, the A/C compressor may make a “knocking”
sound under certain conditions. An updated A/C compressor has been developed to
improve the condition.

Here's another one (if interested):

STEERING COLUMN NOISE - ST001-04
Number: ST001-04
Bulletin Date: 1/7/2004
Applicable VIN Range: ’02 – ’04 LS 430 JTHBN30F#20059627 to JTHBN36F040141419
Summary: Some LS 400 and LS 430 vehicles may experience steering column noise due to
insufficient torsional strength of the telescopic steering column cable. The cable has been
replaced with a universal joint to prevent steering column noise.

The firs one is for 01+ LS,GS and SC with drive belt noise. Not just for the 04 LS. If you have a whinning noise when first start. they will replace the belt( that's it).
The second one is for all models. An update for technician.
The third is for technician to identify the solenoid, becuase in the scan tool the call solenoid 1,2 ,3 ...and so on. This TSB will tell the technician which one is #1, #2...and so on. Notthing to do with LS.

You can type in or click on All Models. These TSB will show up.
