Just had an interesting problem. Last weekend while starting I got a Check VSC warning message and a Check Engine light at the same time. Restarting the car did not resolve the issue. Just got the car back from the dealer: he said that some of the memory contents were erased and the engine module required reprogramming to factory. It took two hours to program. He said that if I did not do it soon, it would probably happen again. The Technical Service Bulletin number is EG002-04. He said that a few have been trickling in recentl. The error code number is P0153.

Anyone know more details?

Yeah, I just had this done on my IS 250.... They said the ECU was improperly calibrated and had to be re-calibrated... it also took 2 hours as they said the TSB also instructed for an oil change
