Annoying Thump from Front suspension

My '02 LS430 has 41,000 miles. For as long as I can remember, there has been a loud muted thump coming from the area under and perhaps slightly in front of the drivers feet every time I hit a sharp small bump. Is there any common knowledge about this symptom among other owners?

This sounds suspiciously like worn bushings in the strut bars. If they have carried over the same strut bar design from the UCF 10/20, this is a known issue. May depend on your road conditions.

hey if you still have the noise have the dealer retorque everything up front, that fixed it on mine.
