Got My New LS 430 Today
Picked up my new LS 430 today. Black over cashmere, Modern, Sport, Smart. Interestingly, according to the local Washington DC dealers, Lexus is not making the sport suspension cars for the Northeast area; but, I found one in New Orleans. So what can I say: ROADTRIP!!

Excellent purchase of the '04 LS. Definitely can't go wrong with black luxury cars; they look so gleaming and attractive from a mile away! I think it's a rather known fact that in the Northeast US, Lexus doesn't offer suspension options or packages for their model lineups like the Adaptive Variable Suspension on the ES330/300 and such. I guess their thinking is that the suspension stuff doesn't compensate well with the unpredictable weather all-year around

Can't go wrong with Black over Cashmere. Congrats on the purchase!
I have heard (but can't confirm) that the entire annual run of Euro-Tuned suspension cars were among the first '04's shipped to the US and that if you didn't snag one of them, you're SOL - they aren't making any more. Again, I can't confirm this information. I was initially interested in the ET suspension option, but since the car was for my wife (coming off a very rare BMW M5 clone and desirous of "more liquid transportation") I opted for the standard suspension. She has been extremely happy with the result.
If she wants more performance, she has a standing invitation to drive my "old school" '95 DRM400 Corvette (388 HP at the rear wheels on the DynoJet) with rare Z07 suspension. She has yet to take me up on it.

My sport suspension LS 430 was produced in January 2004 -- I think Lexus is just sending the sport s to warmer climes right now. Finished my two day "road trip" home today and the car was fantastic. IIt was fun getting to know the car intensively over 1000 mile plus trip. What a pleasure, what a fast, comfortable joyous pleasure.
