Trans cooler
jmoymmv, my vehicle is literally 20.5 years old, and I've had it 9.5 years. Since the trans is fine (unless the joke's on me), one would think the way it was designed is sufficient. It does utilize the radiator for cooling as many auto trans vehicles do. My concern would be rerouting the fluid and if anything were to fail there.
Is your water temp high which also makes trans high or just trans temp? If it is the water temp make sure there is no air in system as getting air out of system after fluid change is not easy.
