Default Did the Celsior version have a BBS RG wheel option?

Saw a few Japanese websites posting BBS RG wheels that they label as factory option for the car. Can’t find any images of one new with them, am I missing something?

You can find it here. It's a genuine Toyota BBS wheel RG173 16".

This is a Toyota Crown with BBS RG 173 wheels.

Yes, I have them. The BBS RG393 which matches the size and offset of the factory 18" wheels. Super rare and hard to find, even in Japan. Remember, the Celsior is 20+ years old at this point. I got my set from Yahoo Auctions Japan through Jesse Streeter (Google him). Had to pay some fees and get the tires removed over there, then it was like $600 in shipping from Japan to Texas which DHL did in 30 hours. Two of the wheels needed light refinishing and I've been enjoying them for many years now. Googled the part number on the BBS caps and found they had a silver, blue, and red option so I sourced the red ones awhile back.

No BS but I've only seen like one other set of these in the states. Now with paying tariffs, it would be expensive to acquire them.

Here are a few sets though: https://auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/c1204316455

Gotta watch out as there are various sizes and offsets for different Toyota models.

Let me know if you have any questions. It took me a long time and a lot of searching to find the wheels, identify them, source them, and get them fitted.

Did you consider any of the period correct walds they made for the ucf30? I love these, but don't wont to modify the suspension to look right, and worry they will not look right on stock suspension etc

I'm between the BBS Japan wheels (aftermarket) that people use to run , BBS RG393, or a set of walds or Volks from Japan

There are tons of used wheels available in Japan for cheap. Problem is, most of them are 10-20 years old and are usually pretty smoked. I simply wanted something that no one else had and something that was a perfect fit. RG393 checked all the boxes for me and the price was right at the time.

Wow, @Romanova , I have been humbled. When you announced you were going to sell your car, the first thing I said was I miss the OEM wheels....hah, I had no idea those wheels were that special. I still favor the American 18's, but that is sweet to have something rare like that.
I especially love the packaging that states in red ink, "Don't throw!"
