Depends on the year but heres the pinout and test procedure:

If you apply 12v+ to EC+ and return to EC- you should see it darken.

Yeah that should do it. Just follow the test procedure and you'll know if it works within a few mins.

Dunno if this helps or if you already wired it but I took a pic at the junkyard today with the colors on the small mirror connector and they are the same as yours except your green(s) - looks like you have 2 greens and this connector off a 2004 mirror in the junk yard has green & blue next to each other - The schematic is helpful and I think if you wanted to install a dashcam or radar detector you have a power and ground pins 4 and 1 that shows on the diagram. Thx for posting.

I'll be back in the junk yard next week - what color - the beige or black - If I remember I will check one but will have to pay them $18.00 for it. ( half a lunch cost now days here )
They crush out rows inside the junkyard for steel weight so recently the yard had 4 facelift 04 to 06 - they crushed one I was going to look at last week already.
They usually keep cars for about a month to 2 months and the one LS430 they crushed was a Silver over Black and it was row 62 and only a month in the yard.
I am installing a dashcam rear view mirror style and didn't realize all the electronics inside the factory rear view mirror.

Well I picked it up. And did some homework on how to test - but I get nothing - no dimming etc. Two different sets of instructions - use the yellow (pin 7) for power and use the black (pin 4) for ground. 2nd set posted here says pins 1 for power ( red ) and pin 4 ground (black) Neither way worked to cause dimming so this unit appears to be toast. I will plug it into the harness and test later.

Were at the end of LS430's in the junkyard - they crushed two that were only in the yard 3 weeks. I always check for them and will update.

I don't know but after further reading you can damage the circuit with the wrong polarity - i.e. Negative on positive & positive on negative - I can test in the car - I don't think my 2004 mirror works either after viewing a video but will go through the blocking of the sensor on back side of mirror and shining a bright LCD on the front sensor. .
I found this and am not sure it's correct either - this is in regards to using the yellow and black - this says 5 pin and these are not 5 pin. So I think the supplied diagram in this thread is correct and that is pin 1 for power and pin 4 ground.

if you dont mind please may you look into it and see if you could maybe use a multimeter to find the power and ground
Appreciate all the help thanks
