Hello all, I've had me 2004 for 3 years now and she's been awesome to me! Just recently replaced the failing serpentine belt tensioner (seems the pivot was wearing and allowing the belt to ride almost at the front of the pulley) with an OEM unit, belt still looks great. Just figured id do the idler pulley while I was there as well as I try to keep up with preventative maintenance on it. The idler pulley on my car now sits super close to the little coolant hose behind it, which has always struck me as odd. So, I ordered an NSK one from Rockauto. I pull the old one off and figure out theres a bushing I need that goes into that aluminum stand where the pulley would bolt to. That bushing does not fit the new pulley and it won't work without. No bushing came with the new pulley. NSK is listed as the OEM on Rockauto, so was an aftermarket one put on and the bushing changed to accommodate that pulley?? Can that part be aquired separately? I've looked and dont see them anywhere tho, or included with any of the new ones, even OEM. The new pulley does have a smaller flange on the rear of the belt surface that does give more clearance for that coolant hose too.
Any help is appreciated!
thanks

What is the current mileage?
Look closely at the bearing on the pulley you removed. What brand is it?
This might answer the question about the pulley you removed.
A pic or two would also help…
