Ordered front and rear brake pads Akebono proACT ceramic brake pads from Rock Auto and was shipped part number “ACT871” on BOTH boxes meaning they shipped me only rear brake pads

I need ACT870 for the front brake pads or can that be used on the front rotors? Sorry this is the first time changing brakes thanks

 

No, front and rear are different sizes, hence the part number difference in your photo. I would reach back out to Rock Auto.

 

Akebono are great pads, once you get your Rockauto situation sorted, they should work great.
