Exclamation false billing fo service

Once again Lexus billed me for Windshield Solvent that was not performed as I topped it off before bringing the LS in for oil service. I was credited each time I caught this,

Third time/today and was told its an auto charge of $3.00+ whether performed or not. Interesting!!!!!!

What a scam/fraud. Millions a year for Lexus.

Probably $3 for checking the level and filling it if needed. <LOL>
At $120/hr that's 1.5 minutes, so about right, but should be included in the labour charge.

if the $3 matters that much you should re-evaluate getting a more fuel efficient, less expensive to maintain vehicle.

I have worked at a handful of dealerships, and never have we charged for washer fluid - everybody gets topped off at any service and the cost gets rolled into shop supplies

Any addition to oil service should have been approved by you and that is why they take it off. Next time tell service writer to explicitly notify you of any additional recommended service. They get by with it the majority of the time.

It's less about the $3 rather the dealer being true to the services performed

I stopped using stealerships many moons ago. Most work can be done by Indy's so if you go there you're asking for it. Notwithstanding, you should be told but principles are out the door nowadays
