I am still keeping the factory nav but not really using it. Getting old doesn't help to focus and refocus on low-mounted phone (Google Map). This is the finding after a cassette tape mount, ashtray mount. I therefore designed an A-pillar mounted Magsafe phone mount. It functions perfectly and I love where it displays large and clear. My question is whether the A-pillar mount irrelevant to the A-pillar airbag? I am only using the bottom 4 inches of the A-pillar though.
I use a TomTom that is sucker mounted to my windshield. It kept falling off until I tried sticking a piece of clear plastic sheet to the screen and then mounting the sucker to the plastic sheet. That has now held for at least 2 years.
In terms of the side air-bag, when it blows it may well trash your phone or throw it across the car, but it won't interfere with the air-bag itself as that is a pretty violent deployment.

Any photos with a phone on it? I've got a s23 ultra and it's a got a bulky case. I'll see if a guy ok can print this. My goal is to have a mount that doesn't use the vents and doesn't vibrate with the car's revs

It's a challenge to take phone on your phone while your phone is the camera. Digging out my real camera. Crop lens on full frame. So, it vignettes heavily but serve the purpose of your ask.
It's an old Samsung Note 20 Ultra, the largest phone in Samsung at the time. I prefer not to stay too close to the side window. There's always more room to the left if you want it further just by modifying the STL file. AC is working fine.
Summer heat is deforming the A-pillar wrap too much and it fell off after a few pull. I've posted a new version of A-pillar wrap with total engagement. However, the new version requires to take out the A-pillar trim in order to allow full engagement wrap around. Both versions are on Thingiverse. The new version is labeled as version 5.
