02 Ls430 tail lamp failure
Old tail light , top is out
New taillight and once again top is still out
All the fuses in my trunk are working , please let me know if yall know the issue
- Is that the only bulb that's out?
- You tried two different tail light assemblies, yes?
- Are you using two different wire harnesses or the same one?
- If it's the same harness, you might have a bad socket.
- If it's a different harness, you need to confirm +12v from the harness connector back. There's an open somewhere in the circuit.

Yes it’s the only bulb that is out, Yes2 different light assemblies . I’m using 2 different wire harnesses for the light but the same one from the trunk

The attachment is the tail light circuit. It's difficult to ID the bulb/socket that's dead just from looking at the diagram. This is because of the discrepancy in wire color between your images and the circuit diagram. I think the bulb/socket in question is on Page 164.
If I were to take a SWAG, the problem is probably here:

If I were to take a SWAG, the problem is probably here:
Connect a test light or a multimeter to the wires with the green arrow, one of which should light up your testlight or give you a 12V reading. The other probably will give you no reading.
Disconnect the connector, clean both male and female pins. Measure voltage (headlight on) at the pins of the two wires with the green arrow. If both have 12V, then your problem is a dirty connector. If not, then you will need to measure it at the luggage room J/B ECU.
Please report back.
