Default Weatherstrip question

The Weatherstrip on my rear driver door is coming apart. Is it easy to replace? Is it common to come apart? Should I bother?

I recall that it is a common thing in one of Car Care Nut's, LS430 ScrewTube videos. I can't remember if this is a simple fix or if the entire weatherstrip needs to be replaced.

Are you talking about the thin flex strip on the top of the main weatherstripping? The area where your hand would naturally grab to close the door?

The Car Care Nut did a segment on this when he replaced them on his 600k mile LS. I don't remember it being a huge project.

Here’s a good thread if this is the one you’re referring to- https://www.clublexus.com/forums/ls-...placement.html

Here's the link to the video at the marked time. I don't think he goes thru a repair:

The rear door weatherstrip, if still available is around $180.

It turns out I need the weatherstripping for both doors on the driver’s side. Any idea what the part numbers are?

I got both weatherstripping. On the front weatherstrip, I need the two clips on the forward side of the door. Does anyone know the part numbers?

I think the clips are part number 90467-05157 or 90467-08219. It would be nice to get the correct clips.

My experience with Toyota clips is sometimes, what you want isn't always what you get. Even when you have the correct part number.

I needed a replacement clip for the cowl weather strip that's under the hood. The end of seal got separated from it's clip sometime before I bought the car. Easy to to do if you're leaning over the fender when not using a fender cover.

I didn't want to remove the clip from the radiator support with out having a replacement; in case I broke it when removing it. Easy enough, I got the part number and placed the order. Here's what I ended up with.
