Bypass immobilizer
How do you lose the chip?
If you have another key that's matched to the immobilizer, you use that key to clone a new key.
If the key with the lost transponder is your only key, you're kinda screwed. You'll have to find someone (dealer/locksmith/???) to program a new key/transponder to the immobilizer in the ECU.
I have seen some DIY ECU reset hack videos but I don't know if this will work for an '01 LS430.

i bought the car at auction and the key came missing the fob part which has the immobilizer chip in it and no this is the only key
The key you have....this whole part of the key is missing or just the guts?
Or does the key you have look like this?
We can reset ECU's to program your own keys again. Not sure that helps you much if you don't have the transponder portion. You could buy a used master key fob with the chip, then send your ECU and have the keys deleted, and then program the used key fob into your original ECU.
