Default someone tried stealing my ls 430

So today my ignition is jacked up. They probably tried a screwdriver or slidehammer. The plastic panel around it is loose too, and theres a copper coil that was around the ignition cylinder that is busted off. I got a key in and can turn it over but it wont start. Im presuming the coil thing is part of the security system, I put it in place but it still wont start?
Any advice??? the advice im looking for is stuff like whether im gonna need a new key reprogramming? Im still in shock, I think my neighbor did this maliciously because he saw my dog pee in a public area and yelled at me and i said ****. Is the programming all in the ecu and a new cylinder will work if I transfer the inside of my key to a new key and cylinder?

The coil thing is the key coil. It is the part that detects the key, transmits the keys code to the ECU. Thankfully it's not very expensive but until the car can detect the key, your locked out.

I may get away with just replacing that part, Ive attempted reconnecting the coil thing an it wont work. The coil part used is about 40 and the whole assembly off the column is over 100
