Headlamp Polishing
Wow, looks great. I just used Cerakotehttps://cerakoteceramics.com/cerakot...storation-kit/
Not really thrilled with it.

Nice! Does your kit come with a clearcoat or some other protective finish? I had great results with a 3M kit on another car, and already bought one for my LS, but that is only the polishing compound. Without some finish we will need to do this over and over every couple years.
Yes...https://sonaxusa.com/sonax-headlight-kit.html

Nphoops - What was the problem with the cerakote ceramics headlight refinishing kit? I know it comes with a permanent UV protective sealant. I ask because a friend just used it on a 1996 Mercury Sable (from an estate sale and in near mint condition with only 50,000 miles) and the headlights look great and they found it easy to use.

I had really good luck with the 3M kit. It's powered by a drill. Comes with 3M UV sealant that is easy to apply. The kit comes with 500, 1000 and 3000 grit (I think). I then used my own Chemical Guys Headlight Restorer and polished the lenses after the 3000 grit. Came out great. I think all these kits are pretty similar, but I think doing a final polish with a compound really cleaned things up.
I just did mine and they were really bad and was a totally free project. Already had wet sandpaper laying around and hit them with 800, 1500, than 3000 grit. Finished off with some Malco polishing compound on a wool buffer. Didnt spend too much time as the car is a hooptie but too my surprise turned out 100% better. During the initial 800 grit sanding so much yellow water came off that it was amazing any light shined through at all. Love free projects!
You need to put some kind of UV resistant sealer on there. Otherwise in 3-6 months they will need doing again.
Rub the sealer in and polish it. Add more sealer every few months and they should stay clear for years.
