Question Transmission Issue

Hi everyone,

I'm experiencing some troubling issues with my Lexus and hoping to get some insights from the club.

When I'm driving and need to brake suddenly, especially at lower speeds, and then accelerate, the engine revs up but the transmission seems to lose grip. After about a second, the transmission catches on, resulting in a loud bang. This happens regularly, but not always.

If I come to a complete stop and don't immediately press the gas, after 2 or 3 seconds, I feel a jolt as if the transmission suddenly re-engages. This also occurs regularly but not every time.

I allso notice that when I try to accelerate and the car shifts down a gear, the transmission often but not always shifts back less smoothly. This almost feels like the Haldex coupling or the Hardy disk has play or something similar, which is not the case.

-Approximate mileage:** 102,500 miles (165,000 km)
-Transmission flushed:** 3 times at the Lexus dealer
- First flush was with ATF Type T-IV oil
- Subsequent 2 flushes were with World Standard oil
-Last flush:** Used 100% oil without any additives or conditioners due to distrust since these issues began

I also notice a faint whining noise, similar to a supercharger, when using the kickdown and mainly at higher RPMs. When I manually set the transmission to a lower gear like 1st and slowly build up the RPMs, I can hear the whining softly in the background.

Finally, the transmission seems to hesitate, particularly when cold, between 5th and 6th gear when I'm driving around 50 mph (80 km/h). This doesn't happen all the time, just the first time or occasionally. While the 6th gear is generally very smooth compared to other cars, within my car's other five gears, the 6th gear feels the least smooth and almost jerky.

Has anyone else experienced something similar? I'd love to hear your thoughts and any advice you might have.

Thanks!

What do you think is wrong with the ECU? Or is is the tranny ECU?
I have never heard about weak points in here. Can you tell me more about it?
