Hey all. I'm having an issue with my UL door windows delaminating and boy are they hard to find out on Vancouver Island. I found someone semi local parting out an 01 celsior and gave an opportunity to grab the windows. I'm just wanting to double check if anyone can confirm the 2001 celsior windows will work on my 2003 ls430? The laminated windows being "downsized" to regular won't cause any water seepage in the door either will they?

 

I'm also hoping to buy the tilt shift motor from him, does anyone know if they plug and play?

 

the UL windows are thicker than the non-UL. i believe they are double paned, and I would bet butter to biscuits that you need to get the double paned ones.

You can use peasant -- i.e., single-pane -- glass just fine. Celsior or LS430 should be identical. Single-pane won't provide quite the same sound insulation but being lighter it will be easier on your window regulators.
