Hi fellow owners

This morning i was greeted with the noise in the attached Video...
  • I have removed the accessories belt and the noise stops so it is one of the accessories
  • It goes away after a while, once warmed up after about 5 mins driving
  • Using a stethoscope i think it is either the alternator or the the power steering pump
What do people think is the most likely culprit before i choose one to order!

Check your PS fluid level. Don't trust the external marks on the reservoir as it becomes stained pull the cap off and look inside.
Next time you hear the whine turn the steering wheel to the right or left or both this should accentuate the whine if it's coming from the PS pump.

Good thinking about the alternator... and it's an easy try to disconnect

PS fluid level is OK at the moment, I checked with turning the steering wheel today and the noise does change a little bit I think it is more an engine RPM change rather than the pump whining differently...
