Need help.

05 UL smart key only works on proximity for the trunk, and can only turn the ignition if the smart key is inside of the ignition. No keyless entry functions work, touch on the doors, or unlock buttons of all fobs. (Have 5 smart key fobs)

Buttons on all fobs don't work, checked batteries in fobs, reset/unplugged battery, CHECKED THE BUTTON NEAR TPMS, checked techstream in diag mode to see if any of the prox oscillator sensors work, nope, only the trunk exterior and the trunk interior. None of the interior stuff, or the doors detect any keys near them. (Is there a seperate wiring harness situation going to the luggage oscillators and the interior oscillators? I looked at some diagrams but it seems like all wires end at the theft deterrent ECU)

Tried registering new keys but no buttons on the fobs register so I can't get past the first step.

Tried resetting the smart key system with the seed code and password, with two different theft deterrent ecus but both times could not register a new smart key after doing the one second unlock+lock button sequence.

Tried a new main engine ecu and no change.

I'm at my wits end trying to figure out whats going on here.

You can only have four keys programmed in .
Erase them all and start again .

 

I've erased all keys twice on two separate smart key ecus.

 

Try unplugging your rain sensor on the windshield, some people have had issues where the sensor failed causing similar symptoms for buttons and smart functions not working.
