Hi everyone,

I read what I could find here, but I don't have any other keys. I'm really not sure where to turn.
my car is currently parked on the street in NYC.

I called one Lexus dealer, they said programming and the key will be $1500

I called a few locksmiths and 2 sent me pictures of the key they would replace (my smart key) and said they can reprogram for $350.

$350 sounds like a deal, but I'm not sure it will work as some people I have asked said the reprogram is very complex.

I am willing to give up the proximity keyless ignition etc. I just need to drive and not make more issues for my car if the locksmith does something wrong with the reprogram.
