Hello everyone here I need help on this car its 01 lexus ls430 I recently buy its has 125k milles beautiful in and our the timing belt broke will driven and few valves where broken all my pistons are ok except the one on the picture so my question is should I just try to find engine or replace the piston and hone the sleeve on this cilinder and rebuild the heads
any advise will be appreciated thanks in advance

I'm no engine rebuilder, but that gouge in the cylinder wall is likely going to need some serious machining, otherwise the combustion chamber is going to have a serious leak that is going to cause all sorts of issues... Just judging from the pictures...

If that damage is greater than 0.25mm the engine is scrap since oversized ring set is 0.5mm. Given the cost to disassemble, machine, fit new rings etc. then reassemble it is better to find a used engine. Or replace the car.

thanks for the input how do I know how deep it's the Gauge I was hoping to get lucky but I'm already looking for used engine

A used engine is going to be cheaper and get you back on the road quicker
