Hi, I did the actuator motor swap for my LS430 on the front passenger side. Everything went smoothly and after reinstalling, the motor is doing what it suppose to do by pulling the cable back and forth. However, I noticed this new problem where the latch won't lock when it hits the door striker. I opened up the lock mechanism, I see this is a thee tongue piece in the center is supposedly to hold the latch locked and it is not currently under any spring force. I wonder if the spring behind it is broken. So I need help to confirm:
1. is that 3 tongue-piece spring loaded?
2. If it's broken, what can I do other than buying a whole lock piece?
I'm going to open another doo to review the mechanism to see if my thought was correct.
