I have started my project of replacing the front seats in an LS430 because the originals were worn and tore. So far, I have purchased the new seats with spotless covers, however, they are from a 2004 LS430, my car is from 2003, therefore, out of the 3 seat connectors 1 is different and I cannot connect them to the car.
As I see it I have two options:
1. find an adapter which could connect the 2003 plugs in the car and the 2004 plugs on the seats
2. remove the bottom and back covers of the seats then replace them.
Have you ever experienced this issue? What would you do?
Thanks,

Reason: concretize the issue
Did you guys figure it out? I’m thinking of putting facelift seats in my pre facelift too.
i might have a theory on why it might not work, it could be that you go the model with either heated or both heated and cooled seats and you may not have been able to match those features to your car, not sure tho. But let me know what happened or if anyone has any update?
As far as I can tell from looking at the wiring diagrams the only difference is that there is a small light mounted on the back of the facelift seats that illuminates the rear passenger footwells. This adds two wires to the seat harness and you then need a new connector. If someone could find the part number of the harness side plug from the facelift and the seat side plug from the pre facelift then you'd just need wire and the corresponding pins to make a connector. Otherwise you could cut the connector off the facelift seat and just splice in the pre-facelift seat connector and leave out the footwell light.
As for getting a seat with extra features you would then need to just get the appropriate control panel. Heated or the Heated/Cooled panel and just swap it.

So there’s no issue of the mounting, only the connector is different?
