Does anyone know how to remove these pieces from the LS430? The rear bumper one on my car is breaking and later on I plan to repaint the car and wonder how I can take this piece off. Thank you so much for any help.

 

The ones on the sides are attached to the plastic lower panels which need to be removed to separate the trim from them. There are details in the service manual on how to remove the plastic panels. (remove bolts on the inside of the doors and then pry the panel off as it's stuck on with double-sided tape and with plastic clips. This shows the parts on the doors.

The ones on the bumpers are I believe pressed into the bumper so just get under one end and lift it carefully and then pull it out.

What year is your LS?

A good source for them is Ebay. Be prepared to spend a few hundred bucks, but they are totally worth their weight in gold.

 

Thanks for the links to the strips and the manual. I had read somewhere else on here that the chrome strips were discontinued.
