I have a small rust spot on the right rear fender lip
Does anyone know a shop who can repair this in the Vancouver BC area?
I have contacted 3 different places but all they want is to replace the whole quarter panel. No repair - only replacement. I am not willing to spend zig-thousands on a quarter size rust spot

 

Can't say without seeing the panel.

 

If it's just a surface bubbling then contact one of the Chips-Away type companies that do minor bodywork repair.
They will rub it back paint with rust killer, and paint to match your car.
It won't be perfect but it won't be stupid expensive either.

the fender lip shows no sign of perforation. Feeling the back inside is solid.

 

I don't know where in BC you are but there seem to be plenty in Vancouver.

yeah, all they want is to replace the whole rear quarter panel, Nobody wants rust repair "It is too much liability"
the rust spot is about the size of a quarter and is not perforated

 

The back side of the quarter panel you are feeling is not the same panel. You're probably feeling the wheel house, which meets the quarter at the seam.

That being said, it's a shame they only want to replace the whole quarter. That shouldn't be necessary

Your only choice may be to do it yourself, or find someone who is willing to do the repair on the area
