Bluetooth Low Volume and Any Better Bluetooth Options?
My state has strengthened the laws on distracted driving and banned holding a phone while driving. As a result, I have started to use Bluetooth (I know, about time) in my 2006 ML. My questions are:
1. Despite being on maximum volume, the sound coming from the front drivers door speaker is quite low. Otherwise, it works very well. Any way of increasing it?
2. Are there any better aftermarket options? I am currently using a Vais (SL2?) for Sirius XM. I have searched but fear most of the posts on this subject are outdated.
Any assistance or suggestions would be appreciated, thanks.

I just posted this, check out sc430mods.com ask Calvin to confirm your fitment, but I think he makes the harness for 05+ SC so yours might be similar.

I highly suggest the GROM VLine2 if you want to keep the factory screen. It adds CarPlay in addition to standard Bluetooth.
Calls can be LOUD amongst all speakers. However, the microphone could probably be improved.. It may just need a little foam cover. I have it run to a corner of the instrument cluster.
It’s a pain in the *** to install, but it’s a night and day difference and worth the sweat and cursing. Makes it feel way more modern.
